“As many of you may be aware, Emmitt appears to be a very healthy and active boy. He enjoys playing football, basketball, baseball, and golf in his free time, and loves hanging out with his friends.

Unfortunately, due to a mean gene our family carries, we recently found out this past spring that Emmitt is in early bone marrow failure, which could cause severe illness in the future. He will be admitted to Iowa City in late September, and is scheduled for a bone marrow transplant in early October.
